Oh how the time flies...

So, being a mommy is busy! I said that I would post more often so that I could let everyone know how she is, but it is really difficult to find the time to do it! I completely overestimated the amount of time that I would have to do things. I had a LIST of projects that I was going to tackle around the house that has not been touched. HA! Yeah right, I do not have time for a project. I cannot believe that she is already almost 5 months old. She is smiling and giggling and gabbing away. Being a mommy is really the best thing ever.

41 weeks?!?!?!!!

Well, I am officially 5 days overdue. Last week at our appointment, I was still only dilated to 1cm. So, we scheduled another weekly appointment for this Wednesday plus a non stress test and ultrasound to make sure that Ella is still safe in her comfy home. I can't believe she is not here yet! I've had a pedicure, I've had a massage, we have walked, my doc even stripped my membranes last week at our appointment. We have tried everything that we know to try along with suggestgions from others and nothing has worked. I guess she will be here when we force her out! We will talk to the doctor on Wednesday about when to induce. It will likely be Thursday or Friday.

38 Weeks

38 weeks! At my appointment this week, I was dilated 1cm. Not a whole lot going on down there! But hey, it is more than last week. Our doc did give us the go ahead to try and speed things up if we would like. I had a pedicure last night and she massaged the pressure points that are supposed to induce labor, but I didn't feel anything from it. It seems like she wants to take advantage of every minute in there, so I guess we will see her when she is ready! Come see us little girl! Mommy and Daddy want to meet you. :)

37 weeks

Well, had my 37 week appointment today and no progress. Nothing. Her head is really low, so that is good. But I am not dilated or anything. I think she is going to be stubborn! Wonder where she got that from? :)

I had my showers the last couple of weekends and we got lots of good stuff. Thanks everyone!

Her bedroom is finally almost finished. My hard working husband and father sanded the floor and my mom did the stain and polyurethane. I will make sure to post pictures of the finished product. We just have to nail in the trim and put the furniture together! And that's it! I say we, but I mean Marc. I am pretty much not allowed to do anything. Marc has been so so so great with getting everything done and my parents have been such a huge help. It is all coming together! Now we just need a baby. :)

34 Weeks!

So, I am not very good about posting regularly! I will try and get better I promise. We just had our 34 week appointment on Tuesday and everything is still going great. I am officially at the "golden date" or magic number of weeks, so if she were to be born now, everything would be ok. Doc said that of course she would like to see us go to 37 weeks. She estimated that she weighs 5+ pounds, but she will do an ultrasound at 38 weeks to check her approximate weight then. It is crazy that it is getting so close. She said that she will let me go to 41 weeks before inducing, so in 7 weeks she WILL be here.

We have been working working working on her room. We have the walls textured and painted, now we just have to paint the celing, pull up the carpet and put down the wood floor. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. : Hopefully we will be able to get the floor done this weekend. I just want it to be done before my shower so that we can come home and put things away rather than stack up more boxes of her stuff. Our house has become quite the obstacle course!

Week 30!

Well, I am officially in my 30th week. Crazy. We picked out her bedroom furniture and decorations and will be ordering her furniture in the next few days. The room decorations are these to the left. The crib and other furniture actually looks pretty similar too, it is a dark espresso finish. It is very exciting, but there is so much work to do. Of course I have the fear that we will not be ready, but are you really ever ready? One thing is for sure, we are both very excited!
